This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:

One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.

Some days feel heavier than others.

You show up, you try to move things forward, but your head feels full. Too many things to think about, too many outcomes to worry about.

You plan, you adjust, you try again.

Still feels a bit stuck.

Over time, I realised I needed something simple to return to. Something that stays the same no matter what’s happening around me.

This is one way to look at it.

Start with prayers.

Before the work, before the thinking, before trying to figure everything out.

Pray for ease. For patience. For clarity when things feel messy. For knowledge, and the ability to retain it.

Pray for health, for ideas, for solutions.

Even for the path itself. Not just the end.

Some days you won’t have the answers yet. That’s okay. You just need to be guided through it properly.

Then comes effort.

You sit down and do the work. Think things through. Try things. Get it wrong, adjust, try again.

Keep showing up.

Stay patient when things don’t move as fast as you want. Don’t let frustration take over the way you work or the way you speak.

Do not let negativity, drama, or opinions of others sway your focus.

Be humble, you don’t need to show your effort to the world. You’re not here to seek for validation.

Do what you can, properly, with the right intentions.

Then comes trust.

After the prayers, after the effort, you let things settle.

Trust that what you asked for is heard. Trust that what you’re working on is going somewhere, even if you can’t see it yet.

Sometimes it helps to hold that trust firmly, like the outcome is already taken care of.

It also helps to be crazily delusional. Whatever you prayed and worked hard for, whatever the outcome, believe it already happened.

Not loudly.

Just quietly certain.

Problems still come.

Deadlines don’t disappear. People are still people.

But it changes how you carry it.

Things feel lighter. Setbacks don’t sit as long. You don’t get pulled in every direction by every small issue.

You are unfazed by the distractions you would usually put yourself into.

You move through it with a clearer head.

This is something I’ve been sharing with the team, and in conversations outside of work too.

Not as something to follow perfectly.

Just something to return to.

We first met him as a 2D/3D animator, but over the past year and a half, he’s evolved into something of a magician — both literally and figuratively. To this day, we still can’t quite brain how he pulls off half the things he does.

We’ll definitely miss the card tricks, the wisdom, and the occasional random lore drops. Wishing him all the very best in his next chapter — the stage is yours. ✨

Elroy Ramantan recently moved into a new abode and welcomed us over for a cosy housewarming. He gave us a full tour, every corner thoughtfully adorned with his signature touch.

To help ease him into the moving process, we came prepared with groceries (as requested, of course). Thank you, Elroy, for having us — the space already feels like home.

After one too many close calls — from lost work to laptops running at full capacity — it was definitely time for an upgrade. We’ve finally refreshed the girls’ setups with brand new Mac minis, and the difference is already showing.

Here’s to smoother workflows, fewer tech hiccups, and even better opportunities ahead.

While we recently said goodbye to Dhiyau, we’re just as excited to welcome a new face to the team — DB (Danial Basyri)! Joining us as an animator and drone operator, he’s already opening up new creative possibilities (yes, we finally have a drone in our hands 👀).

We’re looking forward to the projects ahead and everything we’ll get to create together. Welcome to the team, DB! 🚀
