🔦 Highlights
🪄 Spells
One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.
The question that changed the whole meeting
It’s happening again
Over the past few weeks we’ve doubled down on filling our calendar slots for meetings. Introductory ones, the progress ones, the cold reach, the pitching, all sorts of them.
This means that there will be patterns to notice because there is more context.
And it’s happening again.
I've started noticing something during meetings.
The normal ones.
The kind where people are throwing ideas around, discussing designs, reviewing videos, or trying to solve a problem together.
Sometimes an idea gets presented.
Then someone replies,
"I don't think that's right."
You can almost feel the room change.
Nobody says anything. But something changes.
The person who shared the idea starts explaining themselves instead of improving the idea.
The conversation quietly shifts from solving the problem...
...to defending positions.
On the other hand..
A different meeting and different discussion.
Another idea gets presented.
This time the response was,
"Help me understand." or “That’s awesome! How?”
Same disagreement. Same goal.
But guess what? Completely different room.
The person sharing the idea relaxes.
They explain what they were thinking.
Someone else joins the conversation.
A third person builds on it.
The idea changes. It becomes better.
Nobody was trying to win.
Everyone was trying to understand and improve.
So now I’m wondering
Both conversations wanted the same thing.
A better outcome.
One sentence made people protect their ideas.
The other made people explore them.
That difference is easy to miss.
It's only three words.
"Help me understand."
Yet somehow, they make people feel heard before they feel corrected.
And I think that's something we're all looking for.
Not agreement. Understanding.
Because we don’t fall in love with the idea immediately. We’re putting it out to discuss anyway.
What changes the room, then?
In my last few meetings, networking, and events, I've started paying more attention to the people who ask good questions.
They don't rush to conclusions.
They don't rush to prove a point either.
They're curious.
"Why did you choose this?"
"What made you think of that?"
"What if we tried this instead?"
Sometimes the question itself is more valuable than the answer that follows.
Because good questions keep the conversation moving.
Good questions invite people in. Good questions make people think together.
It’s productive. It’s wholesome. It’s positive.
The outstanding one without standing out
I've been wondering if the best communicators aren't the loudest people in the room.
Or the smartest.
They might simply be the people who stay curious a little longer.
Long enough to understand before responding. Long enough to separate the idea from the person. And long enough to remember that everyone in the room is trying to build the same thing.
Questions worth thinking about
The next time you disagree with someone, what will be the first sentence that comes out?
Will it close the conversation?
Or open another door?
How many good ideas have quietly disappeared because they were judged before they were understood?
And how different would your next conversation be if it simply began with,
"Help me understand."

Welcome, Syafiq!
A week in and already fully in the mix — we’re happy to welcome our newest team member, Syafiq!
Joining us as a Media Executive specialising in photography, he’s wasted no time getting hands-on with projects (straight into the deep end, as we do. #AgencyLife am I right?)
Welcome to the team, Sapek — we’re excited to see and create what’s ahead with you!

Thank Q, Q2!
We can’t believe we’re already in Q3… July-ing?!
To wrap up Q2, Imamull (not pictured — confidential slides duties), Haziyah, and Hafiz presented the quarterly highlights, covering our marketing and financial reports. It was a moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved and navigated over the past few months.
Alhamdulillah for all the opportunities and growth Q2 brought us — and here’s to an even bigger, better Q3 ahead 🤍

Fitness Fundays
We’ve been making more time to get the team moving, and this week’s activities were all about keeping that momentum going. DB, Syed, Alfath, Hisham and Judin hit the courts at RNS Futsal, Lambak for a fast-paced futsal session, while Raf, Judin and Aaqilull took on a different kind of challenge with a spinning class at Twist&Turn Fitness, Berakas.
From futsal to spinning, we’re slowly building a routine of staying active together — and who knows what’s next? Badminton, gym sessions, maybe even something unexpected. For now, we’re just enjoying the balance between work, movement, and a little friendly competition along the way.

✨ Recommendations
Things we’re loving lately, because inspiration hides where you least expect them.
Kupi Venture, Sengkurong
One café that's recently made its way onto the recommendation list is Kupi Venture in Sengkurong. Following its pop-up collaboration with Finger Chow, it became clear that chicken and coffee are an unexpectedly good pairing. Since opening its doors to the public during its soft opening in May, the café has become a cozy spot that's perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. If you're planning a visit, the Sunset Tonic and Matcha Latte are definitely worth trying, especially if you're looking for drinks that pair well with the café's laid-back atmosphere.
Jelly Belly Car Air Freshener
Majidah was on driving duty the other day, and the moment we stepped into her car, we were hit with the sweetest scent. Turns out, it was a blueberry-scented Jelly Belly car air freshener.
Cute and fragrant? Say less.
If you’re looking to level up your car’s vibe, you can find these at Hua Ho — your passengers will thank you.
