This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:
🔦 Highlights
🪄 Spells
One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.
Look dumb, seriously
5 minutes
Spend 5 minutes with a child. It won’t take them that long.
"Why?”
“How?”
“What does that do?”
“What happens if?”
The questions never stop. Sometimes they’re funny. Sometimes they’re exhausting.
Sometimes they don’t even make sense.
But children don’t seem to care.
They aren’t trying to protect how smart they look.
They’re simply trying to understand the world.
They’re learners. Natural learners.
And then it changes
Then we just changed somewhere along the way.
We grow older, there’s a lot more at stake. Pride. Ego. Shame.
The questions become quieter.
We didn’t stop wondering definitely. The brain works more.
But guess what, we started worrying.
“What if it’s a stupid question?”
“I should already know this”
“I don’t want people to think I’m behind”
So instead of asking, we now ASSUME.
We nod, act like we know what the heck they’re talking about and maintain composure.
We google later. We still don’t understand.
Sometimes even worse. We don’t understand, but we use those words again just to sound smarter that we actually are.
We become hollow.
You’d be surprised
This happens everywhere, on all levels.
Sometimes someone has an idea.
You can tell that there’s a question sitting in the room, but nobody asks it.
The meeting, discussion, panel, presentation just moves on.
The afterwards, a few hours to days to weeks later..
“I’ve been meaning to ask this..”
This is pretty interesting.
Because the question, more often than not, is not difficult.
The difficulty lies in asking.
The people who grow the fastest
Over the years, I’ve met these people, followed them, and studied them
The people who improve the quickest aren’t always the most talented. I mean, I’ve seen them when they just started out.
They have now grown far beyond the rest of the ones who started with them.
What I notice, every single time they appear in talks, or when they’re mentioned in a conversation, or if I meet them personally, there is one distinct trait they have.
They always ask questions. They are always curious.
They don’t challenge, they simply just want to understand better.
They even question their own best works. They’re not interested in fancy compliments, they want constructive criticism.
They have no interest in trying to look smart, they want to BE smart.
They genuinely ask.
Ego is quiet
When we hear ego, we think arrogance.
Loud people, those who want to be right for no reason, those who put people down, those who don’t want to ask for help because of pride.
Perhaps that isn’t the only version.
Sometimes ego can be:
“I’ll figure it out myself, I don’t need anyone”
“I don’t want to look stupid”
“I’m not learning anything for this talk, waste of time”
“I’ll just stay quiet”
“I already know this”
“I think I’ve reached my cap”
It feels harmless.
It actually kills your growth.
Stay curious.
Questions worth thinking about
When was the last time you asked a question you were almost embarrassed to ask?
How many things are you pretending to understand today?
And if a child can ask "why?" a hundred times without feeling embarrassed...
...what changed in you?
Was it knowledge?
Or was it fear, shame, or ego?

Filming trip to Serikandi
Recently, the media team took a road trip to Kuala Belait for a filming session at Serikandi Cafe & Restaurant. Powered by coffee and plenty of creativity, the team spent the day capturing the kitchen in action, the inviting interior, and authentic moments of our talents enjoying the food, which definitely lived up to the hype.
Special shout-out to the Daging Rendang Hitam Manis. Safe to say, it earned a solid chef's kiss. A big thank you to the entire Serikandi team and kitchen crew for the warm hospitality and incredible support throughout the shoot. We truly appreciate all the help in making the production run smoothly.

We Scream For Ice Cream!
It was way too hot, so naturally we went on a mission for ice cream — landing us at Sugarsweet BN after hearing about their $0.99 soft serve.
Flavours of the day: pistachio and sea salt (yes, we got both). As if that wasn’t enough to make our day, we also met their Garfield mascot… who somehow survives walking around in that heat (respect).
Of course, the real debate began after: how do you eat your ice cream? From the top, the sides… or are you one of those people?

TCG Takeover
The AICREATIVV team has a new obsession: Pokémon cards.
These days, conversations start with binder updates (or the lack thereof), latest pulls, and who’s currently winning — or losing — the luck game. It doesn’t stop at the office either, with the team heading out to TCG events after work in search of their next big hit… or to make a little bank from their growing collections.
Safe to say, it’s less “watercooler talk” and more “what did you pull?” now.

‘Tis The Season… To Get Sick?
Uh oh… it’s that time again — when the office starts sounding like a symphony of coughs and sniffles.
This week, most of the team are masked up in an attempt to keep the germs to themselves (we appreciate the effort). Sending well wishes to Haziyah, DB, Aaqilull, Alfath, and Stephanie — get well soon!
Fingers crossed the list stops here… please

Friday Feast!
The same group responsible for our ice cream run somehow ended up on food duty this week and Haziyah (our resident “host friend”) ran the operation like the navy.
Together with Iman, Maj and Hafiz, the team switched things up with kelupis and kari ayam as the main stars, with extra nasi lemak on standby for those still feeling a little peckish.
Dessert came in strong with cucur and rice-based kuihs like apam beras and putu piring — and just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Sapek came through with crab ranggoons (thank you, Sapek!!).
Safe to say, nobody left hungry.

✨ Recommendations
Things we’re loving lately, because inspiration hides where you least expect them.
African Sea Coconut Cough Mixture
It’s officially sick season — and with the office sounding like a chorus of coughs and wheezes, Elroy has stepped in with a recommendation: the African Sea Coconut Cough Mixture.
According to him, it works wonders in soothing coughs and easing that irritating throat, making it a go-to during times like these. If you’re currently fighting for your life against a stubborn cough… this might just be worth a try.

HMNS Fragrance
Hafiz’s latest favourite? HMNS Fragrance — and we get why.
Known for its clean, modern scents, HMNS offers fragrances that feel both effortless and distinctive without being overpowering. Perfect for everyday wear, especially if you’re into something subtle but still memorable.
