This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:
🔦 Highlights
🪄 Spells
One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.
You would’ve seen the red cars
A simple question
Imagine this.
We get into a car and drive from Point A to Point B.
The journey ends, and I ask you,
"How many red cars did we pass?"
Most people wouldn't be able to answer.
It wasn’t because they weren't paying attention.
Because nobody told them the question beforehand.
They weren’t even looking at the red cars in the first place.
Let’s try that again
Same road.
Same journey from point A to point B.
Same cars.
But this time, before we leave Point A, I ask you,
"Count the red cars."
By the time we arrive at Point B, you'll most definitely have an answer.
Nothing about the journey changed.
The only thing that changed…
was the question.
I keep thinking about that
It makes me wonder how often we do this in our own lives.
Sometimes we ask, "Why isn't this working?"
Our minds immediately begin collecting evidence.
The mistakes. The failures. The things that went wrong.
Then we if we were just to ask,
"How could this work?"
Suddenly, the same brain starts looking somewhere else.
Opportunities. Different approaches. People who could help. Small improvements.
You see, the problem didn't change.
The question did.
And somehow, the answers started changing too.
We carry our questions everywhere
I've noticed this at work as well. When a project struggles, we can spend hours asking,
"Whose fault was this?" We'll probably find an answer. But what’s the point? And then what?
But what if we asked, "What allowed this to happen?"
Or,
"What can we improve before the next one?"
The conversation feels completely different.
One searches for blame.
The other searches for progress.
Both questions get answered.
Your mind simply follows the direction you give it.
Maybe that's why
Sometimes the answers feel difficult to find.
It feels like it’s not there, but it was there all along.
Because we've been asking our minds to look in the wrong place.
Our questions, then, quietly become instructions.
And our minds are surprisingly good at following them.
Questions worth thinking about
What question have you been asking yourself lately?
Is it leading you somewhere better?
Or has it kept you standing in the same place?
Maybe the next breakthrough was never waiting for a better answer.
Maybe it's waiting for a better question.

Welcome Back, Fai!
Another familiar face returns…Welcome back, Faiqah Adawiyah! Some of you might remember her from last year, navigating internship life with her batch.
Now, she’s back (and upgraded) as a Business Developer, working closely with the team and, of course, reclaiming her well-earned title as the office’s karaoke queen.

Hobbyfest recap
Finally, the moment most of the team had been waiting for — Hobbyfest. Held at Peak Club, Berakas this time around, it was the perfect weekend stop for all things TCG.
Our former intern, Zai, was there too! This time as a vendor. Meanwhile, the rest of the team were busy making their rounds, checking out booths and trading their way closer to completing their ISO (in search of) lists. Safe to say, it was a good day for the collectors.

When Nature Calls… Loudly
It was just another Tuesday afternoon — until a sudden crash said otherwise. Turns out, a large tree from behind our office decided to quite literally drop in on us.
We’ve got a bit of roof damage, but thankfully, everyone’s safe. On the bright side, we’ve also unintentionally expanded our backyard… and welcomed a few new critters courtesy of the fallen timber.

Ramah Mesra @ KB
In conjunction with His Majesty's 80th birthday celebrations, 1st August marked His Majesty's Ramah Mesra visit to Kuala Belait. The Media Team headed down to KB for a coverage gig with Brunei Fertilizer Industries (BFI).
It was everyone's first Ramah Mesra assignment, and the pressure was definitely on. Our mission? Capture the all-important group photo of His Majesty with the BFI team. After a few intense minutes in a media mosh pit alongside other news crews, the team finally secured the shot. Safe to say, it was worth the hustle!

Look at the crowd!

Happy Birthday, Raf!
This week, we’re celebrating our Media Production Coordinator, Raf Zaini’s birthday! On top of that, she’s also been busy preparing for her convocation next week. Woohoo a big milestone on the way!
Happy birthday and congratulations, Raf. We’re celebrating you twice this week.

✨ Recommendations
Things we’re loving lately, because inspiration hides where you least expect them.
Sony WH-1000XM6
Looks like the Sony WH-1000XM6 fan club is slowly growing in the office! Stephanie and Amal have been using the headset for a while now, and Raf has officially joined the fam. Whether it's editing, planning, or simply locking in on work, the WH-1000XM6 has become our go-to for staying focused. Amal swears by its impressive noise cancelling, while Raf has been loving the rich, crisp sound quality.

CLM Brunei
Imamull recently visited CLM Brunei, where he went for a bone adjustment session with Walter Liew. After a consultation and some muscle relaxation treatment, it was time for the adjustment. Raf and Hafiz also got to try a complimentary neck adjustment, and let's just say... it was crunchyyyy. A great spot to check out if you're looking to loosen up after long hours at work.
