This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:

One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.

When I started drafting the third part of Nobody, I thought I already knew what I wanted to say.

Then I reread the first two.

#65 was about quiet growth. #66 was about ideas becoming so shared that nobody remembers where they started.

And somewhere between those two, I realised something.

Maybe people work the same way.

Maybe after spending enough time growing beside other people, it becomes difficult to tell which parts of you are entirely yours anymore.

This is the last part of Nobody.

Someone joins a team knowing very little.

At first, they ask questions.

They watch. They copy how someone else does something.

Someone corrects their work. Someone gives them a shortcut.

Someone invites them into a meeting they probably would've been too nervous to join themselves.

Someone says,

"Try it."

Then later,

"I trust you."

Months pass.

That same person is now doing all of those things for somebody else.

The strange part is that they probably don't remember every moment that shaped them.

They just became part of how they work.

I see this all over AICREATIVV now.

Someone approaches a project differently because of a conversation they had months ago. A process that used to belong to one person is now being used by an entire team.

Someone explains something to a junior using almost the same reasoning that was once used to teach them.

Ideas travel. Habits travel. Standards travel. Oddly, confidence does too.

Sometimes one person's courage becomes permission for somebody else to speak up.

Sometimes one person's patience becomes the reason somebody stays long enough to improve.

Sometimes somebody's way of asking questions becomes the way the whole room starts thinking.

And after enough time, nobody really knows where everything started.

It simply becomes part of the place.

I think this is what I've been noticing more lately.

We talk about growth as though it belongs neatly to one person.

"My confidence." "My skill." "My experience." "My career."

And of course, the work is yours.

You stayed. You practised. You got things wrong. You tried again.

But look closely enough and there are fingerprints everywhere.

Somebody taught you how to do something properly. Somebody corrected you when you were convinced you were right. Somebody trusted you with a responsibility you didn't feel ready for.

Somebody let you sit in the room before you knew what to say in it. Somebody gave you a chance before your portfolio looked impressive enough. Somebody told you the truth when it would've been easier to say, "Looks good."

And sometimes, somebody simply believed you could figure it out.

You carry those things longer than you realise.

That's probably the part that stays with me the most.

Not everyone who changes you knows they did. Maybe it was one sentence.

One project. One late-night conversation. One person who kept asking you for your opinion until eventually you stopped being afraid to give it.

One senior who showed you how they organised their files. One teammate who handled pressure differently and made you rethink how you handled yours. One person who left years ago, but somehow their habit is still floating around the office today.

They might not remember it. You might not have thanked them.

And yet, there they are.

Still somewhere inside the way you work.

Eventually, you stop copying. You change things. You find your own rhythm.

The advice somebody gave you gets mixed with your own mistakes, experiences, preferences and lessons.

It doesn't belong to them anymore. It doesn't completely belong to you either. It became something new.

Then a younger person joins. They watch you. They ask questions. They pick up one of your habits. They hear a sentence you barely thought about saying.

Years later, maybe they'll repeat it to somebody else.

And you'll probably never know.

That's strange.

And I think it's beautiful.

Maybe that's the real ending to this series.

We grow quietly. We build things together. And somewhere along the way, we start carrying pieces of each other.

The people around us become part of how we think, how we create, how we lead, how we communicate, and sometimes even how brave we're willing to be.

Some people stay with us for years. Some only pass through for a season. Some teach us gently.

Some teach us through difficult moments we'd rather not repeat. But almost everyone leaves something.

And maybe that's why looking back at growth can feel so emotional.

You realise you're looking at yourself.

But you're also looking at everyone who helped you become that person.

When we first built AICREATIVV, we believed in the idea of “a long time”. I learned the hard way that opportunities are better than bonds.

There will come a time when the rooms change. People move. Teams grow.

Someone takes another opportunity. Someone else joins. The jokes change.

The playlists on homepod change. The projects on the wall get replaced by newer ones.

But I don't think people disappear from a place completely.

A little bit stays. In the way somebody thinks. In a process. In a standard. In a phrase.

In the confidence of someone who was once very quiet.

In a junior who is now teaching another junior.

And perhaps that's one of the nicest things about growing with people.

You may never fully know what you gave them.

Just as you may never fully realise how much they gave you.

Who taught you something you now do without thinking?

Who gave you confidence before you had enough of your own?

Who still appears in the way you work, even if they're no longer in the room?

And maybe the bigger question:

What are people quietly learning from you right now?

Because one day, someone might do something naturally, confidently, almost without thinking...and a tiny part of where they learned it might have started with you.

Nobody clapped.

Nobody remembers who suggested it.

Nobody got here alone.

Maybe that's what growing together leaves behind.

Snapshots from our week — the work, the people, and the little victories worth sharing.

So… we got rejected. But instead of letting that stop us, we decided to take things OFF BRIEF.

What started as a creative sprint turned into a full day out in Bandar Seri Begawan, with three teams, three different themes and one week to bring their ideas to life. Motion, Perception and Reality sent everyone running around the city, from hiking for that one specific shot, visiting historical landmarks and abandoned buildings, to hopping on a boat to Kampong Ayer and whatever other creative detours happened along the way.

Now we wait and see what everyone cooked up.

Hisham organised another badminton session for the company + Albert & Ezzan! This time, we tried out a new place called Deuce Badminton Court at Jangsak. It was all fun and sweaty until Imamull kept wanting a rematch with Albert (’cause he kept losing 😂).

This weekend, we’ll be celebrating two of our own as our Creative Designer, Majidah Khirul Abasah, and Media Executive, Alfath Sellahuddin, officially graduate from Kolej International Graduate Studies as degree holders!

We’ve watched them put in the work, juggle deadlines and make it through the ups and downs of student life alongside their work at AICREATIVV. We can’t wait to cheer them on this weekend and celebrate this milestone with them. Congratulations, Maj and Alfath!
