🔦 Highlights

📌 Brand Podcast by Blake Howard

A Change of Brand

We came across a post from @pentagramdesign sharing a short podcast snippet of Natasha Jen and Blake discussing about the explosive rebrand of Reddit. It’s 46 mins and available on Spotify. It’s a deep dive, step by step Q&A of Jen’s thought process – her worries, challenges, plan of action, fears and success.

It’s a very interesting listen that would help us agencies gauge what sort of aspects we should be focusing on (and be worried about), especially when dealing with a brand refresh of a large company. A lot could potentially be at stake, especially with a huge and most likely loyal audience.

A divided opinion is unavoidable, and how do we tackle that? Here’s the podcast link, tune in:

📌 Lowkey Youtube Creators

We found some Youtube Creators - they’re absolute gems. Creatives who are into typography, layouting, and making posters, you’ll love these videos.

These people are >20k subscribers on Youtube, but has content that’s packed with value.

Typefool

Ever look at your design and think… “Why does it look off?”

Typefool shared a detailed process on how he does his, from sketching, making margins, importing the assets and making different versions. It’s not a speed run, and he commentates on his decisions. We get to see how he acts upon these thoughts, which can prove to be very useful.

The designs he makes in this video kind of reminds us of Uniqlo and IKEA’s brochures and look books.

Designers that does layouts and deals with typography, watch this! You’ll love it, and you’ll be able to implement them in your work too.

& the design

What can you do with stock images, illustrator, and a couple of pretty fonts?

& the design create beautiful posters just from these three ingredients. This channel runs through her design process, and it’s very pleasant to follow. There’s some videos that show multiple iterations and her choosing the final ones, weighing pros and cons.

She doesn’t have that many videos yet, but she has tons of shorts to binge watch. Check her out here:

KIGS Vibes Exhibition - Aurora

We were invited to the opening of the bi-annual Vibes Exhibition by the students of KIGS. This time, they had their event set out at The One with an open pop-up concept. We didn’t get to snap that many photos, because we were indulging into their work and presentations.

Recommendations

Jibble (App)

Business owners, this time-tracking app is great. For a small team like ours - 17 people, it can be hard to track time. This app helps us build discipline in the team to clock in and clock out on time (because sometimes we’re either too chill or too locked in on work that we forget to leave on time).

Design Spells (Website)

Designspells.com - It curates a collection of UI and design interactions that adds on to better experience from hundreds of websites and apps. Beautiful place for references.

That’s all for this week. See you next week!

At AICREATIVV, we aim to make every person who engages with us 1% better — our members, our existing and potential clients, the business community, the creative community & so on.

We strive for Public Victory

Each week, we'll share insights, tips, and recommendations to help you learn the magical combination of strategy, creativity, and business know-how that truly enchants your audience.

Let's unlock the magic of strategic design.

We hope this brought you value.
