🔦 Highlights

🪄 Spells

One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.

Progress & Proof

Sharpening the Saw

One of the most impactful reads we’ve had as a team is Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The habit that stood out most was Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw.

Sometimes working harder isn’t the answer. Sometimes it’s about stepping back sharpening, improving, analysing and then returning with a sharper edge. That’s where growth really begins.

This inspired our Kaizen motto at AICREATIVV for 2025, the Japanese philosophy of small, continuous improvements.

Small Wins

Last year, as we focused on growth, we noticed that work was becoming harder and more confusing. Too many layers, too many steps. Yes, projects were delivered but often it felt like we were reinventing the wheel, leaving little space for creativity, and just chasing deadlines.

This year, as we’ve grown into a team of 15, our focus has shifted. At first, we thought improvement meant big, grand changes. But over time we realised that real progress happens in small, deliberate ways! Physical, mental, social, and even spiritual.

Kaizen in Action

So we began sharpening the saw together:

  1. Weekly syncs - not just within teams, but also with the leads. This helped us surface problems fast and reach solutions faster.

  2. The emotional wheel - space to share how we feel and how we want to feel, not just what we’re working on.

  3. Monthly outings - time to bond, beyond projects. Some projects require tight collaboration, others split into separate teams, so these outings rebuild connection in between. (We went to the beach and left our laptops)

  4. Closing rituals - after every project, we pause to celebrate, reflect on mistakes, and capture wins for our portfolio.

  5. Celebrating firsts - not just big milestones, but first achievements, quiet improvements, and the small moments that show growth.

The Emotional Wheel

Sharpening, Together

The more we practice Kaizen, the more we see that improvement isn’t about grand transformations. It’s about stacking small wins until doubt has no room left to speak.

At AICREATIVV, sharpening the saw has become less about tools and more about the people. Because when each of us sharpens individually, the whole team cuts sharper together. We have been closer ever since, with an unending list of inside jokes that should never get out of the office.

Here’s You Can Do

  • Don’t wait for big changes—look for small improvements you can make today.

  • Add a “closing ritual” after the end of the day: celebrate, reflect, document.

  • Make space for feelings, not just tasks. How do you actually feel?

  • Keep a “receipts” list of wins, compliments, and lessons to get rid of doubt.

🤳 Updates

Snapshots from our week — the work, the people, and the little victories worth sharing.

The team welcoming back Putra from FLY.

The team buying ice cream.

Media team during a shoot.

Qilull being interviewed.

A rare occasion of Amal and Judin matching fits.

The team watching and supporting Hafiz during Musical Mania 6.

First Emporium Content is Live

This idea started as Amal’s restless thought — what if it flopped? She wanted to show the people behind First Emporium: the ones who worked there for decades, the faces tied to our childhood memories. The interviews turned out wholesome, raw, and emotional — editors Alimin Sofian, Rusyidinul Aiman, Dhiyaurrahman Suhaimi, Aaqilull Qhaeer and Syafi ‘Aizzuddeen even teared up during post-production.

The first teaser and episode, In Between the Aisles, both hit almost 40k views each, with 3k likes each on Tiktok, and a long list of wholesome comments!

Welcome back, Batrisyia!

Back in 2023, when we were just five people, Nuur Batrisyia Ali was our very first intern from UBD. None of us really knew what to give her, so she tried a bit of everything — copywriting, discovery sessions, and even team wellbeing. After graduating this year, we had an opening for Assistant Business Developer. Guess who came back? Batrisyia. Full-circle moment for the OGs. She’ll be working with Elroy Ramantan and Imamull Qhaeer closely, along with Hafiz Sulaiman (Agency Accounts Manager) and Haziyah Azalmey (Creative Designer, Marketing).

This is Batrisyia.

We got an Apple TV 4K

Before the team rolls their eyes — no, this wasn’t an impulse buy (Imamull speaking here). Our old HDMI cable kept disconnecting mid-meeting, and videos would lose sound halfway. Frustrating. So, we got the Apple TV 4K. Now screen sharing works seamlessly, and yes — it also means Netflix and YouTube breaks are way easier. Strategic purchase, thank you very much.
