This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:

🔦 Highlights

🪄 Spells

One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.

Would you still show up when no one’s watching?

What People Don’t See

Most people see the launch, the logo, the final post. But not the hundreds of quiet choices behind it. The 3 a.m. edits. The meeting that didn’t go as planned. The sketch that almost made it.

In The Practice, Seth Godin calls this “shipping creative work.” The act of showing up and delivering again and again — not because it’s perfect, but because it matters. The hidden work isn’t glamorous, but it’s what builds trust, both with the world and with ourselves.

The Work Between the Work

At AICREATIVV, this is the part we’ve learned to love! The long WhatsApp threads at midnight, the weeks between idea and approval, the feedback that stings but makes it better.

That’s the real process. It’s where the heart of the work lives. Where ideas grow quietly, before anyone claps for them.

Austin Kleon writes, “You can’t find your voice if you don’t use it.” Every draft, every small release, every failed version — that’s us using it. Practicing in public, so that when it’s time to deliver, we’re not waiting for permission.

Show the Work Anyway

The hidden work is what makes the visible work possible. And sometimes, sharing that in-between — the doubts, the process, the almosts, the “what even is this” — is what makes the output gain more value.

You may forget that showing work isn’t about showing off. It’s also about letting others know that building things is hard for everyone, but worth it anyway in the end. We’re talking about the process.

So keep showing up. Keep shipping. The applause is nice, but the quiet hours are where the real magic happens.

Book References

  • Seth Godin – The Practice: “The practice is not the means to the output. The practice is the output.”

  • Austin Kleon – Show Your Work: “Share something small every day.”

🤳 Updates

Snapshots from our week — the work, the people, and the little victories worth sharing.

Batrisyia, Iman and Haziyah got new hairdos! (Yes, Haziyah too)

The team went to see the UBD Malam Gemilang drone show at stadium (from the park)

Zai and Iman downloaded Little Nightmares 3 and played at the office few nights ago.

One of the images displayed during the drone show.

Some of the Creative Team took a break from work and this is what the team printed.

A rare photo of Amal and Imamull together.

We’re taking a company break!

After a few long months of work, we’ve decided it was time to chill and give the break that everyone deserves. From 23rd-27th October, the whole team will be off — no office visits, no laptops, no work conversations. That’s going to be happening next week!

Us next week. No work and just be cool in the pool.

Haziyah’s workshop for Parabelle Studio’s Interns

Last weekend, Creative Designer & Marketer Haziyah Azalmey and her team from Parallel Play were invited by Tina Afiqah of Parabelle Studios to host a sharing session and mini workshop for the Parabelle Studios interns at Rattan House crafts café. The casual discussion covered topics such as animation, project management for their upcoming Spectrum exhibition, pricing, and general creative industry insights.

Haziyah also conducted a short session on visual hierarchy, aimed at helping the interns prepare for their next assignment — a book cover design project. The interactive workshop concluded with a quick design sprint, allowing participants to apply what they learned in real time. It was an inspiring afternoon of creativity and collaboration, reflecting AICREATIVV’s continued spirit of sharing knowledge and supporting local creative growth.

We’re working on XENT Studio’s next big thing

The whole creative team had a full sprint on the creative direction last week and we’re stoked. The media team just finished all their pre-production and shoots are starting this week. We can’t wait to show XENT Studio to you guys!

We’re rolling out our BTS

To show you what it’s like in the post-production stage, we’re releasing BTS/Editing reels on Instagram and Tiktok. Do have a look to see a glimpse of how our team works before the final draft gets pushed to the public.

We’ve got a few more IKEA frames from Furnsmart

Yes, we’re obsessed with IKEA. But no one can beat Elroy Ramantan’s obsession with having all things IKEA. As we are working on our latest portfolios to print, we’ve already got 4 frames (50×70cm ones) delivered by our good friends at Furnsmart. The walls will be filled more the next time you come to visit us.

Recommendations

Things we’re loving lately, because inspiration hides where you least expect them.

OFF TOCO Laptop Backpack 13.3inch BM-OF04 Series

When Amal Osmera was looking for a “girlier” work bag that is also safe for a laptop like the line by Bellroy, Haziyah Azalmey came to the rescue.

It’s ergonomically friendly with a cute design, a lot of cute colours too (although she settled for black), has a lot of compartments, including a laptop pouch that can fit her 14” MacBook, easy side zip access, front pocket has a magnet to prevent things from falling out.

She uses it for both work and travel.

Google Tasks (Sidebar) Content

Gmail can be overwhelming with all the buttons and options on all corners of the screen.

If you use Gmail and have 100 emails everyday, and you’d like to go back to a specific email, just click on this button - it’ll bring that email to Google Tasks, and you’ll have access to it on your side bar!
