This week, we're adding more pages to our Spellbook. Here's what we'll be talking about:
🔦 Highlights
🪄 Spells
One big idea we’ve learned each week, shaped into words you can carry forward.
Woah it’s been 60 weeks
Sixty
This is the 60th Spellbook.
I had to check that twice.
Sixty.
That's sixty times sitting down, opening a blank page and trying to figure out what we wanted to say that week.
Some weeks were easy.
An idea would come from a conversation in the office, a problem we were trying to solve, or something I read that stayed in my head for a few days.
Other weeks?
Nothing.
I would stare at the page, type a title, delete it, walk around, come back, and somehow convince myself that after all these years of running AICREATIVV, I had officially run out of things to say.
Then I'd write something anyway.
Apparently, I've done that sixty times now. With a team to fill up more sections of the pages. Haziyah, Raf and Hisham.
We decided that other than value, we wanted to show what we’re doing, what happened, and what’s going to happen.
I almost didn't
There were many Spellbooks I almost skipped.
Sometimes work was busy. Sometimes my head was full. Sometimes the team is also packed. Sometimes I genuinely thought the idea wasn't good enough.
We would read the draft and think,
"Who even wants to read this?"
Then Wednesday or Friday gets closer.
The Spellbook needs to go out.
So we continue.
A sentence becomes a paragraph. The paragraph starts going somewhere, and somewhere between rewriting the same line five times and questioning my English, the Spellbook is done.
Send.
Then the following week comes.
Blank page again.
It's funny because when we talk about consistency, we make it sound very disciplined and clean. We imagine someone waking up with a routine, sitting at a beautiful desk, coffee on the side, completely focused.
Ours has rarely looked like that.
Sometimes consistency is just saying,
"Okay, let’s do that again"
It didn't feel like progress
I think that's the strange part.
Spellbook 14 didn't feel like progress.
They were simply the newsletter for that week.
Write it.
Publish it.
Move on.
There was no dramatic moment where I suddenly felt more consistent. Nobody threw confetti when we reached 50. I don't even remember what we were doing when the 30th one went out.
Then I saw sixty today.
And suddenly, all those very normal weeks were sitting in front of me as a number.
Maybe consistency feels unimpressive because we experience it one day at a time.
You don't feel a habit becoming part of you.
You just keep showing up until one day, someone asks how long you've been doing it.
That's when you start counting.
The ones we didn't like
Here's another thing.
We don't love every Spellbook. There are favourites, there are cringe ones.
Some of them, I would rewrite completely today.
There are sentences I find too long, ideas that could have explained better, and probably a few issues where we had to extend and stretch a few things because it was a difficult topic.
But I'm glad they exist.
Because Spellbook 60 could only be written after the other 59.
Even the ones we didn't like taught us something about writing.
What sounds like AICREATIVV?
What sounds way too off to the point where we’re were just acting?
What did you guys connect with?
and what made you guys close the email as soon as you receive it?
You learn these things by making something, putting it out there, and being willing to look at it again.
Saving another writing tip probably wouldn't have taught us the same thing.
Writing sixty times did.
Again
I don't think we became more consistent because I found a secret.
We just had another week.
Then another.
Then another.
Somewhere along the way, The Spellbook grew to more than 1000+ readers. It became a place for us to talk about fear, trust, bad shoots or projects, marketing, purple calendars, gratitude, and apparently wet fingers on fingerprint scanners.
We never planned all sixty.
We only had to write the next one.
And now, here we are.
Sixty.
That's awesome.
Questions worth thinking about
What have you been waiting to feel inspired for?
How long have you been planning it, saving references, thinking about the perfect way to begin?
What if the first one is bad?
What if the tenth one is still a little awkward?
Would you be willing to make it anyway?
And more importantly, what could exist a year from now if you simply kept saying,
"Okay, let’s do that again"

Happy Birthday, Maj!
This week, we celebrated Majidah Khirul’s birthday — and yes, we managed to pull off a proper surpriseIman came back from lunch with a cake from Ika Bakehouse, walked into a very quiet office, and moments later… surprise.
Simple, sweet, and just the right amount of chaos. Happy Birthday, Maj!

Unexpected Friday
This Friday, we were greeted with a pretty great surprise. Najang dropped by for a visit. And if you’ve been around AICREATIVV long enough, you’d know just how big of a deal that is.
For the OGs (Haziyah, Iman & Hafiz), it definitely made their day — well, that and the food (thank you to Raf & Judin for the food run, as always).

Najang’s here!
Funtent Incoming!
Haziyah, our Marketing Lead, is up to something… (to the team’s mild concern).
During our last quarterly meeting, the team unknowingly gave their full consent to be part of whatever she needs for “Funtent” (Fun + Content). Safe to say, no one is safe when inspiration strikes.
Get ready to see more behind-the-scenes moments and personalities coming through — whether the team likes it or not 👀
Busy Week for Media Team
It’s been another productive week for the Media Team! We kicked things off with a product shoot for Sugar Sweet BN, followed by a video coverage of the PwC dinner event by Judin, Alfath and Aaqilull - who did a same-day edit on that same evening.
The team also produced fresh video and photo content for Spice Boys, before wrapping up the week by covering the Brunei Fertiliser Industries (BFI) International Women’s Day Forum, capturing the event’s key moments and impactful conversations. A great mix of commercial, corporate and event productions that kept the team rolling all week long.
